Chalet hotels are usually run by chalet companies exclusively for their clients. A chalet hotel is a large chalet which is ideal if you want independence and the catering option. The atmosphere is less formal than that of a traditional hotel and resort reps and guides are on hand to help you. There is more flexibility with dates and weekend skiing especially with last minute offers.
Advice on choosing a chalet hotel.
Check the following before you book:-
Reception rooms - in some cases the only ‘common’ rooms are the dining room or small bar which can tie you to your bedroom.
Catering - is wine included with meals, is there afternoon tea?
Eating out - what are the billing arrangements if you want to eat out some evenings?
Facilities for children - is there a listening service, early supper, play areas, pick up from ski school, nanny service etc?
