Bartavelle is located in peaceful Le Cruet, a typically rustic French hamlet only a 5 minute drive from Meribel. You can ski back on the blue piste behind the chalet for most of the season. There is a twice daily transfer to the lifts also a drop off after dinner if required. At other times there is a regular bus service and taxis if you miss the last bus in the evening.

There is only a 10 minute walk to the small village of Les Allues, with its local shops and restaurants.

Originally a barn, Bartavelle was converted into a ski chalet in 1974 and was re-renovated in 2002 to a high standard giving it a blend of old charm and modern comforts.

In the main living room there is a a stereo with CD player and a jack for an MP3 player. We have a good supply of books and games for your afternoon and evening entertainment and the chalet has high speed, WIFI internet access.

The views from the living room, balcony and bedrooms are truly amazing, looking down over the valley and up the mountain to Meribel.

They offer a set menu, but also pride themselves on offering fantastic food for everyone, including those with special dietary requirements such as vegetarians and guests with food allergies or intolerances.

Daily Menu
A good wholesome breakfast, with a variety of options, to set your day off to the right start.

After a day in the mountains you will come back to sumptuous afternoon tea with a variety of homemade cakes and cookies

At around 19.30 there are drinks and a selection of canapès, in front of the fire, to whet your appetite for dinner.

Dinner consists of 3 beautifully balanced, gourmet courses, carefully prepared with fresh ingredients. With dinner there are selected red and white wines (all wines have the classification appellation controlée).

Please note that Canapés and dinner are only served on 6 nights. Please also note that they need to know about any special dietary requirements in advance in order to offer you the best alternative menu.
