- “We”, “us” or “our” means Mountain Cuisine and the partnership of Melissa Brownlow and Camilla Brownlow trading as Mountain Beds.
- “You” represents the person who is making the booking and any person or persons on whose behalf a booking is made (including any person added or substituted at a later date) or any of them as the context permits.
- “Suppers” include 1 course, 2 course or 3 course fresh, frozen or defrosted meals in 3-day or 6-day menus, ready in disposable containers for you to simply reheat or finish off.
2. What Mountain Cuisine Does
It is only during the winter ski season in Verbier that Mountain Cuisine offers 3 or 6 day packages of suppers that you can book and pay for in advance via our secure online payment platform. Once payment has been received, we will send you the season’s menu one month (or less) prior to departure, from which you select the dishes for your group. Our supplier will deliver your order – in 3 day batches – on their delivery day(s); these are Tuesdays and Saturdays around midday, or on Friday around 18:00. We will liaise with you or your rental agency to arrange delivery or pick up from their premises in central Verbier.
3. Your Responsibilities
Payment – You must pay for the order in full, otherwise it will not be confirmed and we will not send you the menus to select your dishes.
Dietary and Allergy Information – You must inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies of those consuming our meals when selecting your dishes. Please note, since Mountain Cuisine menus are prepared alongside all types of foods on the premises, we cannot guarantee the absence of trace quantities. Please contact us for additional information.
Menu Choice – You select one dish per course for each supper from the menu sent to you. If members of your party are unable to eat that dish, please tell us in the notes section of the order form. Please select an alternative specifying how many require that dish.
Notice Periods – You must pay for the order at least 2 weeks prior to departure (4 weeks for peak dates), and select your dishes at least a week in advance for off-peak weeks, and three weeks in advance for Christmas, New Year, and Half Term.
Delivery Instructions – You must provide us with a mobile telephone number and email address should we need to contact you regarding deliveries. Unless we are familiar with the location of the property, we require clear delivery instructions, including the exact address, entrance details, or where to safely leave the food.
Cancellations – Should you wish to cancel your confirmed order, the person who made the booking must notify us in writing as soon as possible.
For Christmas, New Year, and Half Term weeks: If the delivery date is 13 days or less away, no refund will be issued and you will be required to pay 100% of the order. If the notification is received between 14 and 35 days, you get 70% refund or the chance to ‘Transfer’; however, if over 35 days, you get a 100% refund or the chance to ‘Transfer’.
For non-peak weeks: If the delivery date is 6 days or less away, no refund will be issued and you will be required to pay 100% of the order. If the notification is received between 7 and 25 days, you get a 70% refund or the chance to ‘Transfer’; however, if over 26 days, you get 100% refund or the chance to ‘Transfer’.
‘Transfer’ means delaying the order to a later date until the end of the following winter season. If the menus change you may select a comparable substitute.
4. Our Responsibilities
Menu – We will provide a season menu with a selection of dishes listing any major allergens for you to choose for each supper paid for. If for any reason that dish cannot be provided, we will offer alternatives choices.
Your Order – We will promptly inform the supplier of your menu choices, any dietary/allergy information you have told us about, your delivery address, and your contact details.
Delivery – We will arrange that the supplier to delivers 3 meals, ensuring that the first – which you will have chosen – is able to be heated/eaten that evening. They will leave it in the kitchen or in the fridge if they can gain access.
Late Orders or Alterations – We will try to accommodate any late orders, however choices may be limited due to the availability of dishes.
Insurance – The supplier for Mountain Cuisine has agreed to maintain 3rd party liability insurance relating to food provision and delivery. Said supplier has agreed to maintain the “autorisation d’exploiter”: the correct authorisation to operate as a food business in Verbier.
6. Personal Data
In accordance with General Data Protection Regulation guidelines, we and the supplier of Mountain Cuisine will maintain confidentiality of your personal data and will not transfer it to any other party. We will provide the supplier of Mountain Cuisine with your name, dietary requirements, mobile phone number, and email address so they can carry out their service.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Your contract with the Supplier(s) of your Arrangements will be governed by the law and any dispute between you and them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country or countries specified in the Supplier’s terms and conditions.
These terms of business and your dealings with Mountain Beds are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any claim or dispute or other matter arising out of or connected with these terms or dealings. Our employees do not have any power to vary these terms.
